Hey, so it should be something like Console --> HDMI cable --> "HDMI In" socket of the Elgato capture card then Capture Card --> "HDMI Out" socket -> HDMI cable --> TV Essentially these Elgato cards have a built in HDMI splitter, so you need to make sure you're correctly connecting the HDMI cables to the correct socket.

@@TeeChu I set it up the way you said and my TV turns on but no signal from PS5. Once I turn on my MacBook it shows on the OBS studio. Do you think I’ll need a splitter like the one in the video ?

Hey - so your laptop's HDMI port is for output only, e.g. it will let you output your laptop to a TV or monitor It's not used to connect other devices into your laptop, if that makes sense - so connecting your console to your laptop's HDMI port won't do much You'll need a capture card if you don't have one already - this will let you capture the footage from your console And then use OBS as in the video Hope that helps!

Hmm, a few things to check potentially! - Do you have headphones plugged into the console / controller? This is usually what causes lack of game audio as it cuts it from going to the capture card - Have you enabled "monitor & output" on the audio/capture card at all?

@@IsaacHill555 Hmm do you see any coloured bars in the Mixer section moving when you're playing game? I'd also check Settings --> Audio and then under "Advanced", make sure the the "Monitoring Device" is set to your headphones/devices

Sorry to be annoying and taking time from your day. Yes I see the bars moving up and down for my mic which is working and my audio input Is showing the bars moving but no sound. Edit I have got my audio on my headset in advanced but still no sound

I am hearing very brief audio stutters like the audio is trying to come through but won't if that makes sense

Hey, if you want to also watch the gameplay on the TV or second screen, an HDMI splitter can come in handy for that: ruclips.net/video/DpQt7TJ8Edw/видео.html Alternatively if you right click the capture card source in OBS and click "Full Screen Projector" or "Windowed Projector" that'll do full-screen too There can be a little lag if you watch the gameplay in OBS, so I would recommend the HDMI splitter method if possible :)

@@TeeChu wuah perfect, can you please confirm me if I have understood it, I own a nintendo switch oled and I have an account (lets call it account A) that has all the games I have purchased. I am playing those games with another account that I am logged in on the nintendo switch (account B), so I am not playing on the account A that has all the games, instead I am playing with account B, so I am using account A that has all the games as a bridge. If I would buy a new Switch and add the account A and play on account A, I can play simultaneously the games from account A on primary and secondary device (online and offline). If this is correct, is it also possible to play on the new switch with another account other then account A?

Good questions So whatever switch you designate as "primary" you can play all your games offline with no online ownership check needed So in this example: Current Switch = Primary Account A owns the games Account B can play any of acount A's games New Switch = Secondary Account A will need to need to do the online check to play the games Account B cannot play any of account A's games at all If that makes sense! If you want to make your new Switch your primary, that's possible (see from 4:30 in the video) - it's fiddly, but it's possible! Hope that helps

So the online check should be when you launch a game on the secondary Switch - other than that, it should run fine generally Some people say it does check from time to time, but honestly I'm not sure how often - I've run my secondary Switch for hours without internet and it's been okay!

Hey! Good question - if you've already got Streamlabs setup and are good to go, I'd roll with that. The setup should be pretty similar (though of course the UI in Streamlabs may be slightly different) If you find you need to migrate to OBS after some time streaming, then would be worth considering! OBS is (imo) more flexible, but Labs is good when starting out, too! Good luck!

@TeeChu I found streamlabs to be maybe even better for those who are new, I barely had to mess with any audio settings, and I'm able to do this all on a busted old laptop. My Nintendo Switch seems to stream pokemon unite with no latency problems somehow.

@@yato_z Hey - the capture card goes into your PC or laptop. The minimum setup is using OBS to watch the game and stream The ideal setup is having a second monitor or TV to watch the gameplay, and your main screen/monitor for OBS etc I'd watch the video I linked above which may help a bit more :)

Hey! Hmm - that's weird! A few things to try: - Make sure that there's no headset plugged into the Switch (or controller/console depending on what you're capturing. Often that cuts the sound to the capture card - The card itself may not be getting enough power. Recommend trying a different USB port potentially - Look into any drivers etc that maybe needed/to be installed (unlikely but you never know!) - Check to see if there's any movement in the sound panel (e.g. coloured bars moving in the Mixer section in OBS) - Often simply disconnecting/reconnecting (with OBS closed) the capture card can do the trick! - Try going into Windows --> Settings --> Camera Privacy and make sure OBS can access the camera. No worries! The lag is a tricky one (it's my excuse for losing on Smash online haha) - usually I recommend if you have a second screen or TV to hand, using an HDMI splitter and watching the gameplay on that screen, which would be full speed :) ruclips.net/video/DpQt7TJ8Edw/видео.html

Hey! That's tricky to be honest - I would possibly look into a few things: 1) Going into settings --> Video and changing the resolution to a lower value. If you're on 1920x1080 for example, try a lower resolution like 1280x720 instead 2) Try going into settings --> Output, and tweaking a few settings. Video Encoder maybe one to try - if you have NVENC available, give that a go for example Then scroll down to where it says "Encoder settings" and try experimenting with the "Preset" and "Tuning" options Good luck! Recording shouldn't be too taxing on your computer, hopefully!

@@TeeChu Alright, so i have another problem. i got stuck on the part where you tell us how to make your webcam show. my type of webcam is a Logitech StreamCam and it just wont show up. i tried move it to different usb ports but it just didn't show. i figured to ask you because you helped with my last problem.
